About PGSC and Our Mission

Our mission is twofold - to help each individual overcome their particular diagnosis and to help them achieve a state of balance, transformation and lasting happiness long after they leave our group support center.

Human beings are wonderfully complex and cannot be reduced to a single diagnostic label such as depression or OCD. It is equally misguided to think that one type of treatment, whether it is medication, psychotherapy, or anyother single modality or approach can address the complicated nature of what is called "mental illness".

Our guiding principle, based on clear evidence from the fields of psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience, is that mental health and well-being occur when one takes the time to address an individual's unique cognitive, emotional, physical, spiritual and relational needs.

At Princeton Group Support Center, our goal is to treat the whole person by offering a range of integrative modalities which in turn addresses the unique mind, body, spirit, and relationships of each of our participants. We not only address the presenting symptoms of mental illness, but their underlying causes!

Having a lifestyle lacking in even one or two of these factors can lead to feelings of depression, isolation and anxiety, and disease. To not make these factors a key part of any counseling approach is to miss an opportunity to engage our most natural and accessible healing resources.
